Pottery

 

My love of pottery has always been in my mind to develop a suitable way to practice aand produce ceramics

Three options are clearly possibe but with their own pros/cons

• Introduce pottery to studioMAP

• Interoduce pottery to Langley studio 

• Join community organisation or access private fee/service pottery

All the above require broader workshopping as well as basic models and pros/cons analysis

There is an immediate artistic development taking place in my painting practice that is seeing more desire and some forays into incorporating pot and clay ideas into paintings. Though not new the tendency is increasing with larger painted artworks (not the steady but irregular works on paper version that pay homage to pot form and metaphors)

This current tendacy is wirth noting as it may still possible 'overcome' the innate urge to model and fire clay - (alchemy in action not just representational)

Also under consideration is the book-form version ie a published book dedicated to the 2D artwork honouring pottery and clay - of coure I expect some allied written components ie. poetry, essays etc

oh well lets see...what comes
